Intel Core I5-6400T Processor
Intel Core I5-6400T Processor the new Intel® 6th Generation Core™ i5-6400 Processor (6M Cache, 2.70 up to 3.30 GHz) Desktop Processor with Intel® HD Graphics 530. Number of Core: 4; Number of Threads: 4; Clock Speed: 2.70 GHz (max. turbo frequency 3.30GHz); 6 MB Intel Smart Cache, Instruction Set 64-bit, Max Memory Size (dependent on memory type) 32 GB, Memory Types DDR3-1333/1600.
Compatability:
Only compatible with their 300-series chipset-based motherboards, the Core i5-6400T 2.80 GHz Four-Core LGA 1151 Processor from Intel is designed for gaming, creating, and productivity. It has a base clock speed of 8 GT/s DMI3Â and comes with features such as Intel Optane Memory support, AES-NI encryption, Intel vPro technology, Intel TXT, Intel Device Protection with Boot Guard, and Intel VT-d virtualization technology for directed I/O. With Intel, the maximum turbo frequency this processor can achieve is 2.80 GHz.
Features:
This processor features 4 cores with 4 threads in an FCLGA1151 socket, has 6MB of cache memory, and 16 PCIe lanes. Having 4 cores allows the processor to run multiple programs simultaneously without slowing down the system. while the 4 threads allow a basic ordered sequence of instructions to be passed through or processed by a single CPU core. This processor also supports dual-channel DDR4-1866 RAM and utilizes 6th-generation technology.
Intel Core I5-6400T Review
Mid-range-low-power Desktop processor released in 2015 with 4 cores and 4 threads. With base clock at 2.2GHz, max speed at 2.8GHz, and a 35W power rating. Core i5-6400T is based on the Skylake-S 14nm family and part of the Core i5 series.
The big difference between the Core i5-6400T and pricier chips in this range comes is clock speed – the key department where Intel cuts back in order to make cheaper processors. The i5-6400T runs at a standard 2.7GHz and can use Turbo Boost to improve two of its cores to a top speed of 3.3GHz. The Core i5-6600K, meanwhile, starts at 3.5GHz and has a Turbo peak of 3.9GHz.
The other noticeable differences comes in power consumption. The i5-6400T is rated for 65W, which is the same as other standard Core i5 Skylake parts – but the i5-6600K, which has a higher speed and is properly unlocked for overclocking, demands a peak of 91W from the PSU.
That isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The i5-6400T isn’t a K-edition chip unlocked for overclocking – the chance to tweak is only limited to certain boards with the right BIOS – but its more modest power demands means it’ll be absolutely fine beneath Intel’s stock cooler – something that can’t always be said for overclocked K-edition models.
The Core i5-6400T deploys Intel’s HD Graphics 530 integrated core. In this chip the GPU runs at between 350MHz and 950MHz, which means it’s the weakest of any standard-power Skylake Core i5 part – the rest have top speeds of either 1,050MHz or 1,150MHz.
The new core supports DirectX 11.2 but not DirectX 12, and it’s got 48 shaders and 8 ROPs to produce pixel and texture fillrates of 2.8Gpixels/s and 5.6Gtexel/s. That’s a leap over older integrated cores, but it’s still some distance short of even the most modest current-generation AMD and Nvidia discrete graphics cards.
This processor has 03 years warranty (no warranty for fan or cooler).
